Trillium | Crossing the Stream

The Bicentennial of Abraham Lincoln’s birth, the centennial of Daniel Burham's Chicago Plan, and the sesquicentennial of the US Civil War (in 2011) are three historical events which inspired this disc of Americana. There are a lot of folk albums covering the time period but we've attempted to take a unique look at many of these old tunes, loosely following a thread from just prior to the Revolutionary War until after World War II. As always, most of the music is of traditional or anonymous origin and it all represents the synthesis of a lot of creative energy.
